6 Tavern Clues. We should pay a visit to the local tavern. Let us mingle with the crowd and search for clues. Even Rinbin did not see through my disguise! It is me, Mandrubar! We are going to investigate undercover.

The most important trademarks of Sherlock Holmes’ iconic look are his deerstalker hat and calabash pipe. Both are not strictly from Doyle’s books, however, but have instead been popularized by early illustrations and stage adaptations.

7 The Culprit. According to the bar lady, the victims only recently met with someone in a private separee of the tavern. Some Serious, boring dude who didn’t even tip. If there’s one thing I hate, it’s boring people. This must be our culprit.

This isn’t fair! Mandrubar keeps telling me my observations are “elementary”. Everyone knows Sherlock’s iconic catchphrase “That’s elementary, my dear Watson”, but he never even actually said that line in any of Doye’s stories! I’ve double-checked!

Sherlock Holmes was famous for his use of unusual investigative techniques and forensic science. Many methods Doyle described in these stories hadn’t even widely adopted by police yet, but have become commonplace since.

10 The Gathering. Military affairs, a strictly pragmatic character with excellent connections, sediments from the front line outpost. I think I know who the culprit is. Time to gather everyone for my grand reveal.

Doyle grew tired of Holmes and intended to end the series with the character’s death in 1893’s “The Final Problem”. Due to Holmes immense popularity, however, he had to bring him back for his probably most famous case: “The Hound of the Baskervilles”

11 Well Done, Sherlock! Mandrubar has staged a grand reveal, deducting that Grivus must be the culprit behind units vanishing. His reasoning was ingenious. Fact is, Grivus sent some of this troops into retirement and bought them drinks to personally say farewell.

Of course he could have just told Madrubar right from the beginnin, but he argued that he is a big fan of Sherlock Holmes himself and didn’t want to be a killjoy this time
