Forge of Empire The Cherry Blossom Event 2018 is starting on March 28th to celebrate cherry blossom. Until April 19th you will have 62 quests to complete. You will be able to get a set of special buildings as a prize if it is first Spring Event for you, or you will receive upgrade kits if you already have this set from the previous year. The main currency of Spring Event is remain the same at it was during previous year FoE Spring Event – it is spring lanterns. You will receive 10-15 lanterns for completing each of quests. But there are also other ways to get lanterns.

There are four [free] ways to get spring lanterns:

1. You will be getting 10 Lanterns per day from the town hall
2. You can get from 1 to 10 lanterns from cherry trees in the wilderness around your town. These cherry trees will appear after you complete quest or will open a chest
3. Some lanterns are available as a prize in a chest
4. The most important source of spring lanterns is quest completion.

There are two questlines. There is daily quests line and you will receive a new quest each day. But before you need to finish another 40 quests line. Which can be completed in one day or may be not 🙂 Meanwhile daily quests will stack and will waiting for you, when you’re done with the initial 40 quests.

2	Let’s start with the preparations for the festival! Have you ever experienced the cherry blossom season before? we call it ‘Sakura’. when the cherry trees bloom, everyone gathers at the parks and celebrates
	Make people enthusiastic – Tips: use Enthusiasm boost in your Tavern
	Spend 11 Forge Points
3	Complete quests and get Lanterns in return. Use the Lanterns to choose a chest. Every chest contains the daily special Cherry Garden Selection Kit.
	Motivate or polish 30 buildings of other players
	Donate 50 goods to the guild treasury OR Spend 15 Forge Points – Tips: goods can be from any age/era
4	Every Selection Kit features one of the Cherry Garden set buildings and its upgrade. Use it in your inventory and choose the building or the Upgrade Kit – it’s up to you!
	Build 5 decorations – Tips: decorations can be from any age/era. You can build Trees from Stone age
	Acquire 2 sectors
5	When you open a chest and receive your reward, three new chests will be available. Gather Cherry Blossoms to get an even better Grand Prize
	Gather some goods, e.g. from goods buildings or by trading  (amount depends on age/era you are in. 150 goods in Oceanic Future era) – Tips: goods can be from any age/era.
	Buy 3 Forge Points
6	‘Sakura’ usually starts between the end of March and the beginning of April, so we don’t have much time to prepare. It only lasts for a few days, but they’re intense.
	Spend 15 forge points
	In production buildings, finish the shortest production option 20 times – Tips: finish 5 minutes production 20 times in production building. Build hunters (stone age) if you have free space in your town to finish this quest quicker
7	In this year’s Spring Event, you have the chance to win different parts of the Cherry Garden. It consists of five buildings that have a strong connection to each other…here, take this one as a gift!
	Acquire 2 sectors without fighting OR defeat 40 units in battle – Tips: negotiate sectors OR defeat enemy units in GE battles, on Continent map or in fights with your neighbours
	Pay some supplies (amount depends on age/era you are in. 500,000 in Oceanic Future era)
8	The Cherry Garden Buildings, when placed together, create a beautiful composition. If you build them next to each other, their ancient power awakens and all of them will benefit
	Visit 15 taverns OR Spend 20 Forge Points
9	The more unique Cherry Garden Buildings you build next to each other, the higher their bonus will be. Try to win all of them in this year’s Spring Event. I’ll help you with Spring Lanterns to trade in.

10	This year, I prepared something special for you: Each Cherry Garden building has a 2nd level with even better bonuses
	Research a technology OR donate some goods either from your current era or the era below to the guild treasury (amount depends on age/era you are in. 600 goods in Oceanic Future era)
11	To upgrade one of your Cherry Garden buildings, choose the upgrade from the Selection Kit. Then just apply it to the building in your city.
	In production buildings, finish 1-hour productions 8 times – Tips: build hunters (stone age) if you have free space in your town
	Win 2 battles without losing OR Finish 6 8-hour productions – Tips: you can win battles in Guild Expedition, acquiring sectors or fighting your neighbors
12	Have I mentioned this before? you don’t lose anything when you upgrade. Quite the contrary: 2nd level building have stronger bonuses than in their first level counterpart.

13	Obviously, we need cherry trees for the cherry blossom festival. Fortunately, that’s been taken care of. My home town donated trees last year already – you can see them outside of your city.

14	Once the bloom starts, people meet up with their family, friends and colleagues to celebrate. They will gather in parks and enjoy homemade specialities called ‘hamami bento’

	Acquire 3 sectors without fighting – Tips: acquire sectors by negotiation
15	The colorful bento boxes are meant to represent the arrival of Spring. They are filled with different seasonal dishes like spring vegetables, spring herb dumplings and even preserved sakura leaves

16	I figured that it would be a good idea to give cooking courses, so everyone knows how to prepare their own ‘hanami bento’. Let’s reach out to others and schedule the courses

17	The festivities do not stop after the first picnic at lunchtime – they go on until the evening. There’s people laughing everywhere, playing and listening to music. Let’s hire some musicians

18	The cherry blossom festival has a long tradition in fact, it is many centuries old. it is even said to go as far back as the end of the 8th century. Let’s preserve this tradition by sharing it.

21	No one can really plan when the bloom starts as it depends on Mother Nature alone. The weather plays an important role here, and there are even specific forecasts only for the ‘Sakura’

22	Usually, the cherry trees in the south start to bloom first. The Festivities there will be over when the bloom reaches the north. So, if you can’t get enough, just travel with the bloom from south to north.

32	I remember a couple of years back when it was raining all the time and blossoms got washed away so fast. We only celebrated Sakura for just one week. We are so lucky to have this wonderful weather!

35	My favorite time of the Sakura season is when all of the blossoms have bloomed and start to fall. We call this ‘chiri hajime’. When the wind carries them away it almost looks like pink snow.
