FoE St. Patrick event’s quest line is the same or very similar every year, so I don’t post new info about it and you can find earlier posts about St. Patrick event tasks. But they didn’t rival challenges in earlier days, so I want to add this info here.
Rival challenge is important addition to St. Patrick event as you get prices which allows you faster to complete city quests and you get important prizes for you main city, like Fragments of Eternal Market. This is very powerful building.
During St. Patrick event there are two Rival challenges which starts on Tuesdays. First challenge is quite easy and second one is more complicated to complete.
General tips
Don’t rush! Don’t do any upgrades or don’t finish any tasks, don’t do any fighting/negotation if you are not asked to do that. Go steady step by step and you’ll make it.
Build barracks for previous age/era units and don’t collect units from your Alcatraz until you need it.
First rival challenge
In this challenge you’ll need to make 84 fights or 28 negotiations in total. If Guild Battlegrounds are not active my choice is negotiations in Guild expedition. Otherwise I would choose fights because it is easy to collect 20-30 fights at Guild Battlegrounds.

You will need to complete 25 tasks in your town during this first challenge. So as I stated earlier – don’t rush with tasks. You can complete task, but don’t collect it until it requested.

Second rival challenge
It took ~20 hours to finish first rival challenge and without any big spending. but the second challenge is really challenging.
You’ll need to complete 54 tasks in 48 hours. Which means you’ll need to complete tasks for amost 2 towns.
In this challenge you’ll need to make 70 fights AND 36 negotiations in total. Guild Battlegrounds are active so it wont’ be problem with fights, but it will be tought to do 36 negotiations.

Another big challenge is units recruitment. There is no problem with current age, but you plan carefully to collect units from previous age.

Each 2 hours skip cost 400 pots of gold., 4 hours – 700 pots of gold.and 8 hours – 1200 pots of gold..
During quest you’ll get 15 2-hour time warps as prizes and if you didn’t spend all your time warps from previous rival challenge, you should have 3 in your inventory. It makes 18 time warps and it means you are 6 time warps short. That means to complete quest #24 you’ll need to spend 1200 pots of gold.
